Session Poster
Conception: Boris Charmatz

A hybrid project between exhibition, conference, and performance, poster sessions derive from the field of sciences where they are used to create a mental image encapsulating the state of research and offer a visual aid to commentary and debate, and set thought in motion.
Before a poster capturing their thoughts about movement or the school, artists and intellectuals do a performance that is in direct dialog with visitors who are free to move from one to the next. Already tried out at Bocal, the nomadic school launched by Boris Charmatz, these poster sessions are buzzing with thoughts, words, and gestures. A way of sharing knowledge and experience, this new kind of event brings into play teaching and creation.

After premiered at Musée de la danse in Rennes on April 2, 2011, the Poster sessions has been presented at the Festival d’Avignon on July 14, 15 and 21, 22, 2011 in the framework of Une école d’art
